DR, I heard you teach a "Moon Walk" and a "Groucho Walk" and to be quite honest, I thought it was quite laughable.... :p
But I just watched "Shootout" on TV and the SWAT Guys were doing what they called a "Groucho Walk". So, my question is: Who actually invented these techniques and who 1st coined the terms?

I've got this one.
Moon Walk - Michael Jackson circa 1982
Groucho Walk - Groucho Marks circa 1921
I have never seen anyone but DR teach the moon walk. Give them time, they will. It is so simple and it works every where every time.

LOL! Yep, that's spot on for sure. :D I know DR was teaching the Moon Walk and Groucho Walk back in the late 90's. Everyone was making fun of him at the time, right up until he started winning with the techniques. Now, everybody is doing it.

Not only is everyone doing it, but it gets taught frequently by other instructors, some critical of DR's method/techniques.
My understanding was that the "moon" and "groucho" descriptors were originally intended to be derisive terms for the steps. Now they're jargon so even those that have adopted it, don't even understand the origin.
It actually makes me kind of sick. Shameless is the only word that comes to mind for stealing another's ideas and marketing them as at best "standard practice" and at worst their own.

Now that we're at the end of the phases, maybe some credit will go where it is deserved.
