Here are some FREE video clips I did for Down Range TV. The shooting portion (about 15 minutes worth) was taken off of FIST-FIRE DVD-1, which is 1 hour and 20 minutes long...
Segment #1: "Surgical Point Shooting"
http://www.brightcove.tv/title.jsp?title=715980776&channel=429149807
There are also (3) more video clip segments there including "High Speed Point Shooting" and "Integrating Point Shooting with Sighted Fire". Just look below the screen and click on them to view. http://www.m4carbine.net/images/smilies/cool.gif

The DVDs are awesome; $74.95 for a set of these DVDs is money very well spent. Everything is presented in a well organized, simple, and no-nonsense manner. Anyone who is interested in improving their shooting skills should have a set.

I have the both DVDs and the book also. I love the DVDs but if you are just starting out the book fits neatly into a bdu pants cargo pocket so you can take it with you to your range and refer to it on the spot.
My copy has highlighting all through it.:)

I saw the video clips on the internet and I was so intrigued I signed up on these forums. But others told me (on other gun forums) that I need to drink the Fist-Fire Kool-Aide to get the desired results.
So, what's the REAL deal??

Dave,
No cool aid. Fist-Fire works. I'm still in the early learning phase, but when you do it right, it works, plain and simple. D.R. is the real deal and his system works for me.

Dave, don't be fooled by internet commandos on other forums... People who have never tried FIST-FIRE talk about cool aid. Those who have tried FIST-FIRE talk about superior shooting technique :)
I didn't know anything about FIST-FIRE when I took my first classes. I simply wanted to get some better training, I found D.R. was only an hour away, and I decided to give it a try. When we started class Monday morning and D.R. started explaining everything I felt a bit skeptical simply because it sounded like such a radical departure from the most common techniques (which it is). However, by the end of the first day I was completely sold on the system, and I have never looked back.

Hey! If drinking cool aide makes me shoot like this, then pass the pitcher! :D

Please Note: We only count 1st Place finishes (if we counted all of the “Top Ten” finishes in major competition the list would be way too long!). It should also be noted that these are ALL divisional title wins won at MAJOR matches, not class wins at local clubs (which we do not list). These titles were won at the State, Regional, National & World Championship matches. We also only attend matches where we can use our carry guns and gear and still be competitive. This empirical data proves two things: Our shooting methods work and our instructors know how to shoot!
Descriptions of above matches and acronyms used:
IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association): Self Defense Scenario type shooting where competitors use carry guns and gear. IDPA Divisions are as ESP, CDP & SSP.
ESP (Enhanced Service Pistol Division) CDP (Defensive Service Pistol Division)
SSP (Stock Service Pistol Division)
N.C. Recon & Tactical Invitational Shoots: Hardcore Tactical 3-Gun (Rifle-Pistol-Shotgun) Regional Matches using "REAL WORLD" Practical/Tactical firearms.
World Shoot Off’s: The World “Man vs. Man” Dueling Competitions. Shooters face identical arrays of knock down steel targets. The competitors shoot side by side. Who ever shoots all his steel targets down first, wins.
Winchester World Challenge: All Knock Down Speed Steel. This is an event based on the total time it takes to shoot all the courses of fire. The lowest aggregate time wins.
TSA (Tactical Shooting Association): Self Defense “Real World” Scenario type shooting events where competitors use their carry guns and gear. Gun Divisions are FP, MP & CP.
Steel Challenge: The World Speed Shooting Championships. All static steel targets. All targets must be hit. This is a timed event where the fastest total time for all the courses of fire wins.
PSA Shoot Out: All Knock Down Speed Steel targets. This is a timed event. Fastest total time for all the courses of fire wins.

All I can do is add to what others like Brad and Mark have already said.
Being a FIST-FIRE shooter is kind of like being from Pittsburgh. Those that have never been to Pittsburgh think it's an ugly, industrial, midwest-grey mill town. Those that live there will tell you the exact opposite.
What usually happens is that when people go to their first training experience and they do "drink the Kool-Aid". They think that this-or-that instructor has it all figured out and will give you the magic key to make you a pro-shooter overnight. It doesn't work that way. Whatever technique you chose to employ you're going to have to put hours and hours into perfecting it.
What makes FIST-FIRE different?
To be blunt...a whole bunch of things that are too numerous to list and too diverse to put in just one post. In short, FIST-FIRE makes pistol shooting an observable and repeatable technique that was created using the scientific method.
D.R. put a lot of time and effort into eliminating the guess-work from shooting. He developed a technique which is not only years ahead of its time, but took things like point shooting out of the realm of the "jedi" like Robbie Leatham. It's nothing magic, just technique and refinement.
The man put some serious thought into what FIST-FIRE is, and each time I'm amazed at the insight into shooting that I get from his classes. All you can do is try it, but I think that if you do, the "kool-aid" will actually turn out to be a good German beer.
