The above set up is advertised to increase capacity which is why I bought it. So I installed the kit per the directions and yes capacity is increased by 1. Unfortunately they refuse to feed the last round. Instead they lock the slide back with one still in the tube. Originally I thought the problem was the slide stop or the bullet profile. Then I measured the shelf on the follower that engages the slide stop. The shelf sits .210 " higher (yes nearly 1/4 an inch) with one round in the mag than the same shelf on the STI OEM follower. No amount of dressing of the slide stop is gonna correct a 1/4" difference. Now I understand some people deactivate the slide stop but I am not one of them I prefer my guns to work as designed. This gun allways loads all rounds then locks open when empty with STI followers and springs. OK so we have all had parts that didnt quite work for us. Bevan Gramm "Guarantees his product to function properly" So I email him, He tells me to call after about 30 minutes on the phone I felt like I was talking to Charlie Faulk Auto. He did every thing up to attempting to redefine the English language. To me feading the last round is "function Properly" to Gramm it isnt. Then he decided since I used them he wouldnt take them back, "How am I supposed to tell if they "Function Properly if I dont test them ?" Not that it was a big deal the $48 I wasted wont be the last gun parts I buy that dont work, I just couldnt believe the guys attitude. I wouldnt buy anything from Grams Engineering if it came with a lifetime supply of gasoline.
