Check it out! Look at what kind of recoil control you can expect when you understand the FIST-FIRE "Reverse Weaver" shooting technique:

I thought the same thing the first time I heard the phrase used... :o

But the damn thing works! DR has it going on and his training DVD's and instruction are turning the shooting world on it's ear.

FIST-FIRE is good stuff and you should give it a try.

I agree FIST-FIRE sounded rather odd the first time I read about it on the internet. However, after the first hour of training I was completely convinced FIST-FIRE was the real thing and nothing has happened in the last four years to change my mind - or even bring in a momentary doubt. I don't think I could shoot any other way nowdays; I sometimes even have trouble demonstrating weaver or isosceles. FIST-FIRE is just too easy... once you learn how that is :)

I was trying to figure out WHY the reverse Weaver Stance might work and I ended up flat on my back on the floor. You need to try this yourself!

From my new point of view, I found that with the Isosceles or Weaver stance, the gun points well to the left (I'm a right handed shooter). It MUST because the left hand has to reach forward and pull the right hand around to grip the gun. The head also moves left to follow the sights. Now, bend your right arm and see where the gun goes. It should come back to center.

When I use the Reverse Weaver, I find it MUCH easier to shoot with both eyes open because my head is facing straight forward (directly toward the target) and the sites are directly in front of my right eye.

I think that's the common experience with DR's students that actually go train with him. You learn things and gain a confidence you didn't have before. What Barb and DR did for my wife's confidence.

After that everything else is cheap whiskey...that costs 25% more.

and at full extension we're using a "reverse Chapman" - dominant arm bent slightly and support arm straight. Correct? What do you think of Recoil experience with this?

Yes, this is generally correct. The recoil control is phenomenal. Executed correctly, the Reverse Chapman will keep the slide practically flat and level even under rapid fire, and especially if you use soft shooting loads.
