A "FIST-FIRE Weapon" is any firearm that can be fired by the making of a fist, hence the term: FIST-FIRE Weapon. Basically that's means anything with pistol grip (i.e., Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Submachine gun). Here is our FIST-FIRE Weapons Training Model:

The entire system is based upon the principles of the 3-Primary Levels of Weapons Presentation: Guard, Partial & Full Extension. Because FIST-FIRE is a Martial Art (THE Martial Art of Handgunning) ALL students (no matter what their skill level is) start out in Level 1 and work their way up through the system.
Note: It usually takes (3) days to get established in Level 1 of the Fist-Fire System.

Please Note: We only count 1st Place finishes (if we counted all of the “Top Ten” finishes in major competition the list would be way too long!). It should also be noted that these are ALL divisional title wins won at MAJOR matches, not class wins at local clubs (which we do not list). These titles were won at the State, Regional, National & World Championship matches. We also only attend matches where we can use our carry guns and gear and still be competitive. This empirical data proves two things: Our shooting methods work and our instructors know how to shoot!
Descriptions of above matches and the acronyms used:
IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association): Self Defense Scenario type shooting where competitors use carry guns and gear. IDPA Divisions are as ESP, CDP & SSP.
ESP (Enhanced Service Pistol Division) CDP (Defensive Service Pistol Division)
SSP (Stock Service Pistol Division)
N.C. Recon & Tactical Invitational Shoots: Hardcore Tactical 3-Gun (Rifle-Pistol-Shotgun) Regional Matches using "REAL WORLD" Practical/Tactical firearms.
World Shoot Off’s: The World “Man vs. Man” Dueling Competitions. Shooters face identical arrays of knock down steel targets. The competitors shoot side by side. Who ever shoots all his steel targets down first, wins.
Winchester World Challenge: All Knock Down Speed Steel. This is an event based on the total time it takes to shoot all the courses of fire. The lowest aggregate time wins.
TSA (Tactical Shooting Association): Self Defense “Real World” Scenario type shooting events where competitors use their carry guns and gear. Gun Divisions are FP, MP & CP.
Steel Challenge: The World Speed Shooting Championships. All static steel targets. All targets must be hit. This is a timed event where the fastest total time for all the courses of fire wins.
PSA Shoot Out: All Knock Down Speed Steel targets. This is a timed event. Fastest total time for all the courses of fire wins.
