Hey guys, anyone had any experience with the Taurus line of 1911's? :confused:

They look REALLY GOOD and the price is unbeatable (about 1/2 of a Kimber). :cool:

Yep, I agree, they look really good...at first. Best Damn Good Looking gun I've seen for the price. :cool:

But when you look really close, you see all kinds of cosmetic defects. :(

I don't give a damn about cosmetic defects as long as the damn thing works... :rolleyes: Mine works, over 400 rounds through it so far. :cool:

That's a good start. :cool: What kind of ammo? Hollow Points? Ball? What? :confused:

The pictures look good in the ads, but up close and in person they are a bit rough in spots. :(

I had (2) Taurus 1911's come into my shop today for work... :cool:

Barrel lock up was very good on one, but it still shot HIGH...go figure. :confused:

Both needed trigger jobs BAD. One was hanging up when you pull the slide back about 3/4 way it stopped. :(

Bottom Line: I won't work on them again. Metal is way too soft throughout. But the Taurus is probably the best looking P.O.S. I've seen in a while. :o
