Apparently, a mule killed a mountain lion on a hunting trip!

I checked it out on snopes:

Many people use donkeys to guard against neighbors dogs. Donkeys hate dogs

Actually this is not as unusual as you might think. Mules are known to be really tough BAD ASS animals. They're extremely protective and loyal from what I'm told. I have a friend that has family in Colorado and they routinely put a mule in the corral with the other animals to protect them from predators. From what he told me, the few that try it anyway end up FREAKIN' STOMPED to death. They don't play. From what I understand this is pretty well known in the non-dude world.

Kinda cool:cool: huh? And it gives you a new prospective on the "lowly" mule? Not everything is as it appears. A Mule is the product of a female Horse (mare) bred with a Male Donkey and can grow quite large. A Donkey is a domesticated Ass (like me :D) (Jack is male- Jenny female). An Ass is a wild Donkey. I was impressed when I saw the photos of the Mule flinging that Cougar around like a rag doll and brought them to work. I was enlightened there by people that know these things.

Yes, they are tuff, I use to breed them! They are smart, too. (That's where the term "Smart Ass" comes from :p )...
